Slow Down

Banish “hurry up” to become a lot happier

We were incredibly inspired by this amazing post: The Day I Stopped Saying ‘Hurry Up’“.

The author sees the world through her daughter’s eyes, and works on the patience to stop saying “hurry up.” She writes: “It was pretty easy to banish ‘hurry up’ from my vocabulary. What was not so easy was acquiring the patience to wait on my leisurely child. To help us both, I began giving her a little more time to prepare if we had to go somewhere. And sometimes, even then, we were still late.”

Keep reading, even if you’re not a rusher, the last anecdote will make you happy.

It illustrates how important it is to take the time to enjoy life. To enjoy your surroundings. To enjoy the journey. To look at life in a child-like way, where we can slow down, letting things only be important when they are.
